It’s almost one month until X-Men: First Class is in theatres and I for one cannot wait. The second trailer was released today, and it includes new footage from the movie. The beginning of the trailer is the same as the first, but then the new footage starts. The music is the same as the first trailer as well. Is it just me or does Jennifer Lawrence look a little odd in costume as Mystique?
Brian Singer wrote the script and Matthew Vaughn directs. The great cast includes James McAvoy (Professor Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Rose Byrne (Dr. Moira MacTaggert), January Jones (Emma Frost), Oliver Platt (Man in Black), Kevin Bacon (Sebastian Shaw), Zoe Kravitz (Angel Salvadore), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Caleb Landry Jones (Banshy) , Lucas Till (Havoc), Edi Gathegi (Darwin), Ray Wise (Secretary of State), and Jason Flemyng (Azazel). Official Synopsis:
X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
X-Men First Class is in theatres June 3, 2011.
