Sometimes it pays to stay up until two in the morning. I just visited facebook, and official facebook page for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo has posted the second trailer for the film. Some people got the chance to see an eight minute trailer for the movie before advanced screenings of Moneyball and Straw Dogs. This is not the same trailer. This trailer is still much longer than any full trailer that you see in the theatres. This trailer lasts 3 minutes and 46 seconds. If you have not read the book or are in the middle of the book, I would not suggest watching the trailer as it gives away at least the first half of the book and maybe more.
I was waiting to see what kind of accents the actors would use in the film and it seems to be a mix of no accent (American), English, and somewhat of a Swedish accent.
Of course, there is a bit of the score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross in the background of the trailer.
The film stars Rooney Mara, Daniel Craig, Robin Wright, Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgard, Joely Richardson, Julian Sands, Goran Visnjic, Alan Dale, Embeth Davidth, Geraldine James, and Stephen Berkoff.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is in theatres December 21, 2011.
So far the Facebook page is the only place the trailer is posted and it is not a HD version. Go to facebook.com/dragontattoo to see it. I will update the post when a different version becomes available. UPDATE: See below.
