There has been one trailer for the Bourne Legacy so far. It started out as a teaser and revealed a bit more by the end. This new trailer delves a little deeper into the plot of this film. It appears that Treadstone is trying annihilate any known person associated with the creation of these super special agents like Jason Bourne. That includes the focus of this film, Aaron Cross. There are a few recurring characters from the previous Bourne films, and Jason Bourne seems to be mentioned a lot. I am curious as to whether Matt Damon will make any cameo appearance in the film. We now know that at least his image is used. The films stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Albert Finney, Joan Allen, Scott Glenn, Stacy Keach, and Oscar Isaac. If anything, it looks like the film will have the expected kick a** fight scenes it is known for.
“The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films. For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.”
The Bourne Legacy is in theatres August 3, 2012.
