Lost in Previews: Zero Dark Thirty

Zero Dark Thirty is the followup feature film from Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow.  Kathryn won the Best Director and Best Motion Picture Oscars in 2010 for The Hurt Locker.  Zero Dark Thirty focuses on the hunt for Osama bin Laden.  This puts Kathryn back into the same theme and environment as The Hurt Locker.  I never had much interest in seeing The Hurt Locker, but finally saw it a couple of months ago and was very impressed with it.  The cast for Zero Dark Thirty includes Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Taylor Kinney, Mark Strong, Scott Adkins, Chris Pratt, Harold Perrineau (Lost), Jennifer Ehle, Kyle Chandler, Edgar Ramirez, Frank Grillo (Warrior, End of Watch), Mark Duplass, Joel Edgerton.  Mark Boal wrote the screenplay.

This is indeed a teaser trailer.  You don’t get a lot from it, but you will know what it is about by the end of it.  There are glimpses of scenes and characters talking throughout the trailer.  This could be an intense film.

Zero Dark Thirty is in theatres December 2012.
