The Dark Knight Rises Blu-Ray Announced

FINALLY! Good lord, in a year when Prometheus and The Avengers were both announced on Blu-Ray before they were even in theaters, it sure felt like an eternity for Warner Bros to announce The Dark Knight Rises‘ Blu-Ray release. Seems to be a worthy release, though. It packs about as much special features as you’d expect for a Chris Nolan release (not too awful much), and is surely dwarfed by Prometheus‘ insane amount of special features, but hey what can you do? I think I’m honestly most excited to just be able to watch the 70mm IMAX footage at home in 1080p.

Oh, and for anyone thinking about buying that Trilogy Set. I’d hold off if I were you. I guarantee that it’s a bare-bones repackaging the 3 previous releases. Warner Bros have mentioned that there will be an “Ultimate Collector’s Edition Trilogy Set” due out next year, which will hopefully contain tons of new cool features and ::fingers crossed:: maybe actually a deleted scene or two, including those now infamous Bane Origin scenes. Who am I kidding, though. That will never ever happen.
