In less than one month, we get to see the film! I am so ready for Star Trek: Into Darkness. It is just not funny anymore how J.J. Abrams continues to blow my mind with these trailers, and this second domestic trailer is no exception. The trailer continues to chip away at what character Benedict Cumberbatch is playing, and it shows that he has a massive Enterprise looking ship to compete with the Star Trek crew. The amount of stunning crashes and ship fights just in this trailer is astounding. I also LOVE the score that is used in the trailer. It really fits and is reminescent of another track I have heard before. I don’t know if this is a track from the actual film’s score or not.
It is time to watch the J.J’s first Star Trek film again in preparation.
Included below are four new character posters and you can see the new theatrical poster at the top left of this post.
The film stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve, Bruce Greenwood, and Peter Weller. J.J. Abrams directed the film.
“In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes ‘Star Trek Into Darkness.’ When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.”
Star Trek: Into Darkness is in theatres May 17, 2013.
