Can we just talk about for a second how amazing and understated the Liars are? Their new album WIXIW (pronounced wish you) was just released and it’s being hailed as the quietest effort from the group yet. It is deeply seeded in fear and doubt while utilizing more electronic sounds and unconventional methods for making sounds. They reportedly used wetted rags dripping on pots and deflating balloons for interesting sounds.
