Anyone else notice the new headers on trailers? New font, new wordings. It is almost like the MPAA wanted to not be outdated anymore.
I first saw the new headers and this second teaser trailer for Anchorman: The Legend Continues in front of Star Trek: Into Darkness in the theatre on Thursday. Seeing as I had not watched the first teaser trailer in quite some time, I could not determine whether it was a new teaser or not, but it is a new teaser, just in the same format as the first. I laughed a few times at this short teaser and so did the rest of the theatre audience. They are still filming this sequel both in Atlanta and in NYC, so I think it might be a few months until we see the first full trailer for it.
The film stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, and David Koechner. Adam McKay is directing the film based on a script by himself and Will Ferrell.
“With the 70’s behind him, San Diego’s top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), returns to the news desk in “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.” Also back for more are Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man on the street Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner) – All of whom won’t make it easy to stay classy…while taking New York’s first 24-hour news channel by storm.”
Anchorman: The Legend Continues is in theatres December 20, 2013.
